FrameTravel is an application developed as an academic final degree project, focused on film tourism and social interaction around real movie and TV series locations.

2. Personal data processed

The platform may process the following personal data:

  • Username.
  • Email address.
  • Encrypted password.
  • Profile biography and avatar, if added by the user.
  • Profile privacy preferences.
  • Locations saved as favorites.
  • Check-ins made by the user.
  • Photos uploaded in check-ins.
  • Published comments and replies.
  • Ratings made on locations.
  • Internal notifications generated by platform activity.
  • Basic technical data, such as IP address, date, time and activity logs required for security.

3. Purposes of processing

Data is used for the following purposes:

  • To allow registration, login and user account management.
  • To show public or private profiles according to the selected settings.
  • To manage favorites, check-ins, comments, replies and ratings.
  • To show social activity related to film locations.
  • To send internal notifications within the platform.
  • To ensure the security, traceability and correct operation of the system.
  • To perform maintenance, debugging and application improvement tasks.

4. Legal basis

Data processing is mainly based on:

Likewise, certain information voluntarily published by the user, such as comments, ratings, username, avatar or visible check-ins, may be displayed within the platform according to the applicable privacy settings.

FrameTravel may use external services for features such as maps, film information or technical resources. These services may process technical data according to their own policies.

The services used may include OpenStreetMap, Leaflet, The Movie Database API and web hosting providers.

8. User rights

Users may exercise, where applicable, their rights of access, rectification, deletion, objection, restriction of processing and data portability.

9. Security

FrameTravel applies technical and organizational measures aimed at protecting personal data, including user authentication, encrypted passwords, private route protection, role control, HTTPS connection, form validation and activity logs to detect misuse.

10. Minors

FrameTravel is not specifically aimed at minors. If misuse of the platform by minors without authorization is detected, appropriate measures may be taken to restrict or delete that account.

This privacy policy may be updated to adapt to technical, functional or legal changes. The current version will always be available on this page.
